The County is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide transfer services for Containers and Paper Fibres.

The Containers and Paper Fibres will be delivered to the Successful Proponent’s Transfer Facility, which must be located within the geographic boundaries of the County of Simcoe (including within the separated Cities of Barrie and Orillia) by the County’s contracted collection service provider, Waste Connections of Canada and the County’s own fleet of roll-off and front end vehicles.

Services related to Recyclable Materials transfer will include the expedient weighing of inbound loads of Containers and Paper Fibres, provision of separate receiving areas for the County’s Containers and Paper Fibres, the timely loading of Containers and Paper Fibres into transfer vehicles for Shipping, reporting, reconciliation of tonnages and invoicing the County for services rendered as further defined in the Scope of Work. Details with respect to monthly historical tonnages and number of loads received and transferred are provided in Section 16.
The term of the Contract will be two (2) years and nine (9) months, effective April 1, 2019 until December 31, 2021, with the option for up to two (2) additional one (1) year extensions or any part thereof, at the sole discretion of the County.

The County will notify the Contractor of its intentions with respect to extension of the Contract(s) a minimum of six (6) months prior to the end of a term.
