Request for Prequalification No. 2025-071

For: SIMCOE VILLAGE – WAYFINDING DESIGN & BUILD SERVICES

This Request for Prequalification process is intended to create a list of prequalified Contractors or who will be invited to respond to a subsequent Request for RFPs, Tenders or Quotations for our new Simcoe Village LTC & Seniors Services Campus in Beeton, ON.
The Work will include, but is not limited to the following:

Assessment & Planning
- Conduct site visits and collaborate with stakeholders to assess wayfinding needs.
- Develop a wayfinding strategy that supports resident independence, safety, and accessibility, with special consideration for individuals with cognitive impairments.

Design Services
- Produce detailed design concepts and mock-ups for signage and visual cues.
- Ensure compliance with the Ontario Long-Term Care Home Design Manual, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and relevant building codes.

Fabrication
- Manufacture signage and wayfinding elements using durable, non-toxic, and easy-to-clean materials suitable for healthcare environments.

Installation
- Coordinate and execute installation with minimal disruption to residents and staff.
- Ensure all signage is securely mounted, clearly visible, and appropriately placed.

Documentation & Handover
- Provide as-built drawings, maintenance guidelines, and a signage inventory.
- Conduct a final walkthrough and address any deficiencies.

The intent of this Prequalification is to develop a short list of no more than five (5) Applicants who will be invited to respond to subsequent RFP’s, RFTs or RFQs. Only those Applicants placed on the Qualified Supplier List will receive further notices of Procurement covered by the Prequalification process.

The County intends to tender the project to the prequalified Contractors or Service Providers in July of 2025 with the Work commencing as soon as possible with all signage installed and in place by Summer of 2026.
