The County of Simcoe is seeking submissions from qualified and experienced vendors. Only online submissions will be accepted for this opportunity. Request for Proposal No. 2023-103 For: ORGANICS PROCESSING The County of Simcoe (the County) is located in South Central Ontario, encompasses 4,840 square kilometres, and provides waste services to a population of approximately 361,000 residents. The County is responsible for all aspects of solid waste management programs including curbside collection services for garbage, source separated organics (“SSO”, “organics”) and recyclable materials, operation of waste management facilities, waste diversion, processing, haulage, disposal and waste management future planning. The County currently consolidates all collected organics at a County transfer station located in Edgar, Ontario, and hauls to an externally contracted facility for processing. The County is seeking a qualified Proponent to provide processing services for the County’s source separated organics. |
