The County of Simcoe is seeking submissions from qualified and experienced vendors. Only online submissions will be accepted for this opportunity. Request for Proposal No. 2019-031 For: AUTOMATIC CHEST COMPRESSION DEVICE, FOR PARAMEDIC SERVICES The County of Simcoe Paramedic Services (CSPS) is responsible for serving an area of approximately 4,800 square kilometers. The area ranges from York and Peel regions in the south to Muskoka District 1 in the north, from Lake Simcoe in the east to Grey and Dufferin Counties, and Georgian Bay in the west. The area, which includes the cities of Barrie and Orillia has a combined population of approximately 479,650 and hosts 8 million annual visitors. CSPS responds to over 70,000 requests for service annually and is within the 90th percentile standard of 15 minutes for response time to Code 4 (priority) calls. The service currently operates from within 16 response stations and the County Administration Center with a total of 43 ambulances and 7 Rapid Response Units during peak times. CSPS responds to approximately 800 cardiac arrest calls each year. This purpose of this Request for Proposal is to select a qualified contractor to supply automatic chest compression devices suitable for use in the pre-hospital setting for Paramedic response units, to be used by the County’s Primary and Advanced Care Paramedics for the treatment of patients in acute circulatory arrest. |
