The County of Simcoe is seeking submissions from qualified and experienced vendors. Only online submissions will be accepted for this opportunity. Request for Prequalification No. 2024-042 For: CONSTRUCTION MANAGER(S) AT RISK: GENERAL CONTRACTORS, AND DEMOLITION CONTRACTORS The County of Simcoe is an upper tier municipality located north of the Greater Toronto Area and is comprised of 16 towns and townships and the separated Cities of Barrie and Orillia. The County’s programs and essential services include social housing, land ambulance and emergency planning, waste management, public transportation, a County road system, Ontario Works, Lake Simcoe Regional Airport, Children’s Services, Long Term Care and Seniors Services, Museum, Archives, County forest management, Tourism, and land use policy planning. The County operates 40+ locations, including paramedic stations, roads garages, Ontario works offices, landfill sites and transfer stations, truck maintenance shops, a museum, an archives facility, an administration centre, an airport, numerous social housing sites, and four long-term care homes. The County of Simcoe is requesting Responses from Applicants interested in placement on the County’s Qualified Supplier List for the provision of General Contracting, Demolition Contractors, and Construction Manager at Risk services for a three-year term. This Request for Prequalification process is intended to create a list of prequalified General Contractors, Demolition Contractors, and Construction Managers at Risk who will be invited to bid on future County of Simcoe construction and renovation projects. Typical projects may include, but are not limited to the following:
Project values will range from $10K to $100M+ and include new construction and renovation in buildings such as paramedic stations and posts, long term care facilities, administrative office space, maintenance and garage buildings, solid waste facilities, archives, museum, and social housing. Only those Applicants placed on the Qualified Supplier List will receive further notices of procurement opportunities covered by this RFPQ process. |
