The County of Simcoe is proposing to rehabilitate three (3) reinforced concrete rigid frame bridges located on County Road 17, in the Township of Severn.  Upper Big Chute Road Bridge (Structure No. 017048) and Dunford Bridge (Structure No. 017052) measures 14.75m in span length and the Lovering Bridge (Structure No. 017058)
measures 17.45m in span length.

The County of Simcoe is seeking consulting engineering services from selected consultants to review and interpret previous detailed deck condition survey results, visually inspect the structure, review and assess potential rehabilitation options, obtain all necessary permits and approvals, carry out a topographic survey, prepare a Preliminary Design Report, and prepare a contract specification and drawings for the construction.  Construction for all three bridges is scheduled for 2020; proponents are to assume one (1) construction tender for all three (3) bridges.

The study area will extend 500m on both approaches to provide sufficient roadway to reconstruct the approaches to
the structure.  Necessary improvements to the roadway within the study area shall be deemed to be included in the scope of work.

Original structure drawings and 2016 Detailed Deck Condition Survey reports are available for all three (3)
structures.  Structural drawings, inspection reports, photographs and a map of adjacent property parcel
for the structures and roadway are attached as Appendix B.
